King’s Ceramics & Chemicals Co., Ltd (King’s) signed the “King’s Motivational Scholarship” agreement with Materials & Chemicals Science College (MCSC) at China University of Geosciences (CUG) on June, 15th, 2012. King’s general manager, Dr. King together with the vice president of CUG and other delegates attended the ceremony.
In the conference, CUG awarded the “Honored Alumni” glory to Dr. King for the contributions he made in materials industry. Dr. King introduced the background, the rules, and the meaning of this “King’s Motivational Scholarship” earnestly. He said: “King’s firmly stands in the position to afford social responsibility, to feel grateful for our country. Even though this scholarship is not a big amount of money, it truly shows King’s good intention and best wishes to the outstanding students who come from poor families.” He also expressed his high expectation to students of MCSC. Alex Wang, as an excellent graduated student of MCSC who is now working in King’s, shared his study and work experiences with junior fellow schoolmates generously. The ceremony successfully ended with the scholarship agreement signing between Dr. King and the MCSC vice president, Dr. Zhang.
This is the beginning of the cooperation between King’s and universities in form of scholarship investment. The students will win an internship chance working in King’s in case of he/she gets the “King’s Motivational Scholarship”. At the same time, King’s is planning to extend this scholarship to more universities in future.
Background: Materials & Chemicals Science College (MCSC) of China University of Geosciences (CUG) meanly dedicate itself in studying and researching in ceramics、fireproofing material、raw material and related industries. “King’s Motivational Scholarship” is set up and sponsored by King’s to support excellent MCSC students who come from poor family to complete their study.
